Wake up and smell the REVIEW - Influenster Revive VoxBox

Okay guys. This is something very new for me.
I have always been super afraid of adding reviews to my blog and social media out of fear of being "salesey" and turning you amazing people away from the real reason I have this website. My goal is always to provide motivation and inspiration for the millennial mother and wife, and I would love the chance to share with you some free stuff I got from influenster.com! So buckle up and enjoy the ride!! :)
I signed up for Influsenter in May of this year, just looking for ways to create great content for you guys and found out that I could do this for free! I received my first box about 2 weeks ago and was super excited for the opportunity to share with you some new things for your hair, body and just overall well-being. So let's get into it.
Influenster sent a box full of samples to a select amount of people who they believe will share its contents with their friends, family and their little corner of the internet. Because everything I received was free, there aren't any forced opinions here. Just honest SUPA-realness.
When I decided to welcome the box into my home this is what it looked like.

My first impression was "Oh snap I gots me a new shaker bottle!!" lolol honestly. I was excited that there was actually something that I could keep longer than a month. As I share the contents of this box I am going to review them individually. The purpose of this box was to provide ways for the consumer to feel revived and refreshed.
The first thing I got my hands on was the SheaMoisture weightless shampoo and moisture creme rinse.

I have short colored hair (I call my color "merlot"..it's pretty sexy..lol) because I naturally have dry hair, coloring it only made matters worse. Outside from the fact that I am a MOTHER and WIFE, I still find it a struggle to find time to care for myself the way I want to regarding my hair. The shampoo is clear, sulfate, paraben and paraffin free. It is very light for a clear shampoo and has a tropical scent which only makes sense as it's foundations are coconut, shea butter, Imbe oil and aloe. This may sound crazy but it smelled nourishing.
Like you know how some products just have a scent and you can tell that smelling good is its only purpose. This shampoo tells you with it's scent, "honey we finna do a number on this hair" and trust me it did. Usually when you shampoo, you know, it strips your hair and you can feel it. Your hair will feel rough after rinsing it out and you usually make a bee-line for the conditioner out of fear of your hair breaking from you just breathing...lol. With this shampoo it was surprisingly smooth and soft. I wasn't fooled..lol I made a bee-line anyway, blame it on conditioning (waaah wahhh waahhhh) I know, lame...lol Anyway the conditioner was the same, nourishing and light. Of course all conditioners are creme based, but instead of the normal 10-15 minutes we are SUPPOSED to leave the conditioner on, (idk who really follows those directions to a tee) the directions ask that you only leave on for "a minute or two" but out of habit I kept it on for about 5.
Because I have short hair I have to set it with setting lotion and let it dry before I can style it. Right away I could feel the difference in the softness of my hair. I didn't want to get my hopes too high too early because I still needed to let my hair dry so I could flat iron it and style it, but boiii i was hype to. lol.

After drying and styling, this is the result. I am so sold on this product so much that if I can't find it at walmart, (which I didn't) I will be ordering it online.
SheaMoisture's Fruit Fusion weightless shampoo and creme rinse, 5 out of 5 SUPAstars.
You have gained a new customer.
The next thing I received out of the Revive VoxBox was the Brew and Renew pack. OMG, it was free coffee!! I jumped for joy but as soon as I realized it was compostable K-Cups, I was instantly let down. I ain't got one of them. I haven't graduated. I ain't THAT boujie yet. lol So I had to strategize about how I was going to consume these little pockets of deliciousness for my morning energy source. I thought that since it was 1 cup worth of coffee grounds, I would simply cut the grounds out of the K-Cup and brew just that amount in the regular coffee pot. It worked out perfectly. I am a coffee deprived genius.
The first cup I tried was out of haste and now I truly regret it. I got the Revive VoxBox on a Saturday evening. I was up SUPER late this evening working on my website, etc. I thought to myself, "I'll have a cup of this new booty brew right now, why not? What harm will it do?"

Mistake. BIG Mistake.
So I turned the coffee on at about 1:30...IN THE MORNING and decided to try Hills Bros. 100% Colombian Arabica Bean coffee. In my youtube reivew (to be posted this week) I instantly gave it a 3 out of 5 SUPAstars, but that was before the RUSH OF CAFFEINE kicked in. I was sure that because it was a nice blend between robust and mellow that it was a nice dessert-after-dinner coffee. But when I realized that I couldn't sleep until almost 5:00 a.m., I quickly gave one more star. Hill Bros. was a very well flavored coffee with a VERY surprising kick that lasted for hours. I was literally praying that I would crash, which would have been a completely different story had I been brewing at about 7:00 a.m.
The next coffee I brewed, I actually got some sense about myself. I tried Kauai Coffee Co. in the Garden Isle blend.

This was a very bright and fruity flavored coffee. Not as much kick, but still super yummy. I gave this coffee a 3 out of 5 SUPAstars.
The final coffee was..okay.

Chock full o' Nuts Midtown Manhattan blend was just that. It tasted of almonds and hazelnut to me. Because I was so tired when I woke up, I SPILLED IT!! My feelings were so hurt, thus, the caffeine kick i was searching for never came. I gave this coffee a 2 our of 5 SUPAstars.
Overall, the Brew & Renew pack was nice, but I would only buy one of them with my own coint. That would be the terrible mistake brew I made at 2 a.m., Hills Bros.
Now, this is where the review goes a little downhill..You have been warned.
On to these protein shakes.

The Vitamin Shoppe has a Cookies n Cream fit n' full shake in the VoxBox. So listen, my plan was to have a nice, healthy meal replacement shake for lunch. I read the directions, shook up the mix, took a sip and the wave of disappointment and regret washed over me so quickly that I didn't even have the strength or will power to swallow the first sip. At this moment I realized that I, Christian Sardis also known as Supa, am not a protein shake fan. I vowed to never try another one at that very moment. As I write this review, there is one lonely shake in my yellow Influenster box.
I even was brave enough to make an attempt in eating my words and tried the Plant by Vitamin Shoppe plant protein shake. Again, same result. Instead of the same fate as the Vitamin Shoppe, the drain, I was so sweet to let my hubby try this one. He is currently in the bed sick. Now, don't get me wrong, maybe our bodies just don't take plant based drinks well. I just know that the Sardis family is not a protein shake drinking group of people. lol
Finally, Snackwells so graciously gifted us VoxBox recipients with a sample of their latest and greatest.

Biscuit thins made with real coffee! I received the French Vanilla Latte flavor. Now, I love me some french vanilla, but this, honey, honey. This was like a coffee flavored doggie treat (don't ask me how I know). I really wanted this biscuit to be my new go-to in the morning. Again, being the awesome mother and wife I am, I let my family try the snack as well. My husband loved it. He was looking to make a cup of coffee to dip the cookie in. My poor 3 year old didn't know the difference, she just liked the fact that she got to try a new snack.
Overall, for my first Influenster VoxBox the products were pretty good. Of course, I knew there were things that I was going to love, buy, hate & throw away.
Would I do another one?
Yeah.
I love reviewing things if your couldn't tell, plus I love for my peeps to be informed. Overall I give the Influenster coffee/pick-me-up themed, Revive VoxBox 3 out of 5 SUPAstars. I am excited to see what else they send my way in the future.
If you think you'd be great for Influenster as a reviewer, and you feel like people listen to what you have to say, I would highly recommend signing up.
Until next time lovelies!!
